1. General Policy

Due to the specialist nature of hybrid batteries, professional installation services, and mobile call-out services, all products and services supplied by JK Repair Hybrid Batteries are subject to this Return & Refund Policy.

By purchasing any product or service from JK Repair Hybrid Batteries, you acknowledge and agree to this Return & Refund Policy together with our Warranty Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligible Returns

A return, repair, replacement, or refund will only be considered where:

• The battery is confirmed by JK Repair Hybrid Batteries to be faulty upon installation.
• JK Repair Hybrid Batteries has supplied an incorrect battery.
• JK Repair Hybrid Batteries is unable to supply the agreed product or service.

All claims are subject to inspection, testing, and approval by our technical team before any remedy is offered.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following products and services are non-refundable:

• Batteries that are functioning correctly.
• Batteries that have been installed and are operating as intended.
• Batteries that have been opened, modified, tampered with, or repaired by any third party.
• Batteries damaged through misuse, accidental damage, water ingress, fire, impact, neglect, or any external cause.
• Diagnostic or inspection services.
• Labour charges.
• Mobile call-out charges.
• Battery removal charges.
• Battery reinstallation charges.

4. Warranty in Place of Returns

Once a hybrid battery has been installed, it is covered by the purchased warranty package rather than a standard return policy.

Warranty claims are subject to:

• The fault being covered under the applicable warranty.
• Submission of a satisfactory diagnostic report.
• Compliance with all warranty terms, operating requirements, and maintenance obligations.
• Inspection and testing by JK Repair Hybrid Batteries where required.

JK Repair Hybrid Batteries reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to repair, replace, or refund the battery where a valid warranty claim has been approved.

5. Refunds for Approved Warranty Claims

Where JK Repair Hybrid Batteries is unable to repair or replace a battery covered by a valid warranty claim, any refund will be calculated as follows.

Labour Deduction

The original battery installation labour charge will be deducted from any approved refund.

The labour deduction will be based on the applicable labour charge for the specific vehicle at the time of installation.

Current labour charges include:

• Toyota Estima – £500
• Toyota Alphard – £500
• Lexus Hybrid Models – £500
• Toyota Prius – £300
• Toyota Auris – £300

Labour charges for other vehicle models will be based on the applicable installation rate in force at the time of installation.

Depreciation

Following deduction of the applicable labour charge, the remaining battery value will be depreciated over the applicable warranty period.

1-Year Warranty

(Battery Purchase Price − Applicable Labour Charge) ÷ 12

2-Year Warranty

(Battery Purchase Price − Applicable Labour Charge) ÷ 24

A deduction will be made for every month, or part of a month, that the battery has been installed and used.

Refunds will only be processed after all JK Repair Hybrid Batteries equipment and components have been returned in satisfactory condition.

Mobile Call-Out & Battery Reinstallation

Our battery replacement service normally includes a £200 mobile call-out charge, which may be waived at the time of installation as a gesture of goodwill.

If a customer requests a refund and wishes to have their original battery reinstalled, the following charges will apply:

• Original battery installation labour (vehicle-specific).
• Removal of the JK Repair Hybrid Batteries battery and reinstallation of the customer’s original battery (vehicle-specific).
• Mobile call-out charge – £200.

These charges represent genuine costs incurred by JK Repair Hybrid Batteries and will be deducted from any refund due.

Example – Toyota Estima Hybrid Battery

Battery Purchase Price: £1,999

Less:

• Original installation labour – £500
• Battery removal and reinstallation – £500
• Mobile call-out charge – £200

Total Fixed Deductions: £1199

The remaining battery value will then be reduced using the applicable monthly depreciation calculation before any refund is made.

6. Customer-Requested Battery Removal

If a customer requests removal of a JK Repair Hybrid Batteries battery for any reason outside an approved warranty repair, the following charges apply.

Mobile Call-Out

• £200

Battery Removal Charges

• Toyota Estima – £500
• Toyota Alphard – £500
• Lexus Hybrid Models – £500
• Toyota Prius – £300
• Toyota Auris – £300

All charges are payable in advance and are non-refundable.

7. Reinstallation of the Customer’s Original Battery

Where a customer requests the reinstallation of their original battery, the following labour charges apply:

• Toyota Estima – £500
• Toyota Alphard – £500
• Lexus Hybrid Models – £500
• Toyota Prius – £300
• Toyota Auris – £300

These charges are payable in advance and are non-refundable.

Third-Party Installation

For safety, quality control, and warranty purposes, JK Repair Hybrid Batteries does not permit third-party removal or installation of its batteries in connection with warranty claims.

All battery removal, inspection, testing, and reinstallation must be carried out by JK Repair Hybrid Batteries.

Failure to comply with this requirement may invalidate the warranty.

8. Availability of the Customer’s Original Battery

JK Repair Hybrid Batteries cannot guarantee that a customer’s original battery will be available for return or reinstallation at a later date.

When a customer elects to replace their hybrid battery, the original battery and/or its components may, at the sole discretion of JK Repair Hybrid Batteries,

• Be dismantled for inspection, testing, or quality control purposes.
• Be remanufactured or refurbished.
• Be reused as part of our hybrid battery remanufacturing programme.
• Be recycled or disposed of in accordance with applicable environmental legislation and industry best practice.

Accordingly, if a customer subsequently requests the return or reinstallation of their original battery, JK Repair Hybrid Batteries cannot guarantee that the same battery, or the same battery components, will still be available.

Where the original battery has already been dismantled, remanufactured, refurbished, reused, recycled, or lawfully disposed of, JK Repair Hybrid Batteries shall have no obligation to return or reinstall that battery.

By purchasing our products or services, the customer acknowledges and accepts that their original battery may be processed as part of our normal business operations and that its future availability cannot be guaranteed.

9. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch or installation.

Where payment has already been received, any approved refund will normally be processed within 5–7 working days.

10. Circumstances Where Refunds Will Not Be Provided

Refunds will not be issued where:

• The battery has been installed, and no valid warranty fault is found.
• The customer changes their mind after purchase or installation.
• The reported issue is unrelated to the hybrid battery.
• Warranty terms and conditions have not been complied with.
• Required maintenance or servicing has not been carried out.
• The battery has been removed, opened, modified, tampered with, or repaired by a third party.
• The customer refuses to allow inspection or testing by JK Repair Hybrid Batteries.

11. How to Submit a Warranty, Return or Refund Claim

To submit a warranty, return, or refund claim:

1. Contact JK Repair Hybrid Batteries by telephone or email.
2. Provide your invoice or proof of purchase.
3. Provide a suitable diagnostic report.
4. Allow our technical team to assess the claim.
5. Permit any further inspection or testing where required.

If the claim is approved, JK Repair Hybrid Batteries will determine, at its sole discretion, whether the appropriate remedy will be a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with this policy.

12. Warranty Claims Procedure

1. All warranty claims must be reported to JK Repair Hybrid Batteries before any repair or replacement work is carried out by a third party.

2. The customer must provide:

• Vehicle registration number.
• Original invoice or proof of purchase.
• Diagnostic report from a qualified garage showing the relevant fault code.
• Clear photographs or videos if requested.

3. JK Repair Hybrid Batteries reserves the right to inspect, test or request the return of the battery before approving any warranty claim.

4. No labour, recovery, transport, diagnostic or any third-party repair costs will be reimbursed unless JK Repair Hybrid Batteries has provided prior written authorisation.

5. If a warranty claim is approved, JK Repair Hybrid Batteries will, at its sole discretion:

• Repair the battery, or
• Supply a replacement refurbished battery; or
• Provide another remedy in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. Any replacement battery supplied under warranty will continue only for the remaining balance of the original warranty period and will not start a new warranty period.

7. All batteries supplied under warranty are provided on an exchange basis. The removed battery becomes the property of JK Repair Hybrid Batteries and will not be returned.

8. As JK Repair Hybrid Batteries supplies professionally refurbished batteries, customers acknowledge and accept that they may not receive the same battery originally supplied or a brand-new battery as a replacement.

9. Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and the original vehicle for which the battery was supplied unless otherwise agreed by JK Repair Hybrid Batteries in writing.
